This weekend was spent mostly Cleaning my Studio/work corner. It was nice to sort through everything and Organize it. Now most everything has a place and a Label. This is Kinda a New Something for me because I tend not to be the most organized person around. I think I drove my poor Mother Crazy when I lived at home. She Loves to organize and sort. She is my Girl when I need to go through my closet or cupboards! "Really!! you want to go through your Closet?! I will be Right Over!!" Lol! I really do appreciate her and her help!
My sister Julie is just like her. Julie is Mentally Disabled and lives with my folks. Julie Loves to Do Laundry! My Mom and Dad have the WHITEST Whites in town! Maybe even the Pacific Northwest! Julie Pesters me all the time to come over and do Laundry. To her it is the Equivalent of winning  Power Ball ! She is such a Good Kid! I call her a Kid, when she will be 58 in August AND my Older Sister! If you ever met her you would know what I Meant. My Husband Mark tells her to go get her wallet and gives her all of the Change in his Pocket for doing Laundry. She doesn't want Paper Bills... Just coins. She might have at any given time 25 dollars in change in her Wallet. Believe me when I say she knows Exactly how many Pennies, Nickels, Dimes and Quarters are in there! She is Great!  I Fondly call my Mother and Sister Frick & Frack!
Have a Happy Tuesday Everyone!
I have Procrastinated Enough and need to get back to
Finish my Studio/work corner! Lol!

What a sweet story about your sister. CLEAN? ORGANIZE? Words so unframiliar to me. I used to be very organized & then somehow... it's all a clutter now & I SAVE things because I MIGHT NEED them. NOT a good habit. I am begining to purge some of the STUFF but, it's so hard. Thanks for the push. But, most of all thank you for the beautiful images. HOW DO YOU KEEP UP WITH ALL THE IMAGES? That is a daunting task. To know what you have & where it is.... LIFE goes in circles. HUGS!

First off, It is so nice to work in an organized studio, now isn't it?
I think your sister sounds delightful, what a treasure she must be.
As for the artwork above, oh! There is so much wonderful art in this world,it would take a hundred lifetimes to savor all of it, but the pictures above are just perfection!

I love the pictures you posted. They are so lovely and calming, right along with the sweet music in the background.

I love to organize things. The problem is usually finding the time to do it. Your mother and sister sound like they are absolutely delightful.

Hi Miss Jill!
How I loved reading your sweet story about your Sister and your Mom! Bless their hearts, they are both truly a Delight!! My Mom was just like yours, and here I am with piles of stuff here and there in my studio/the tiniest little enclosed back porch ever! :) I am such a saver, can't part with anything, I just know I will need it one day, right? Your images are absolutely beautiful, I love them all and what a lovely surprise to see the violets at the end of your post!! It makes me so happy to know that you enjoyed it my sweet friend!!
Have a Wonderful Day and Weekend as well!
Big Hugs,
Carol Anne

With great anticipation of spring's arrival, I too have been deep cleaning of our closets. Each year I do a thorough assessing of what is truly needed or what I must have ... then I box up what I don't use and donate to our local charity. I am amazed at how much "stuff" I come up with each year!!! :) Though it feels good to clean house! Sometimes, I even come across those items I have been searching for all year long! Ha!

I look forward to this cold and snowy weather taking its leave ... as then I get to cleaning up the outside from winter's ravaging. Nesting is never truly completed ... the garden will need attending to all summer long. At least one can breath in the fresh air and listen to the choiring of birdsong!

Hi Jill, what a beautiful blog and story about your Mum and Sister thanks for sharing with us. I've a small studio shared with computer desk etc, quite disorganised and cluttered and I keep on collecting little treasures that I might need one day. Sometimes I get energetic and have a big clean out, then a few months later find myself looking for the things I tossed out and feeling regretful I did so, and end up having to go and buy it to complete a project. Oh dear, it's neverending... hugs Robyn

What gorgeous images, Jill! I loved the story about your sister, and maybe you can send your mom over to help me get my craft supplies organized! That to me is always the most challenging spot in the house, my craft room!!

Loved reading about your family. Julie sounds so sweet. Makes me want to send her a vintage change purse full of change! I hope things went well in the studio. I just realized I was not a follower! Yikes. I've added myself. Congrats on the feature at Cindy's! Love all the beauty in your header. So much to see here.

Would you like to jet on over to Scotland and tidy my craft space?
I was so tidy as a child/teenager and young adult BUT since delving into stamping/mixed media/altered art I am quite a different person. I keep on searching for the old me but she doesn't want to come out lol.
Let's hope you have motivated me to do some spring cleaning.
Have a great week.
