~Autumn Leaves~

~Autumn Morning~ Grimshaw
~Autumn Gold~  Grimshaw
~Iris~  Grimshaw

by Elsie N. Brady
How silently they tumble down
And come to rest upon the ground
To lay a carpet, rich and rare,
Beneath the trees without a care,
Content to sleep, their work well done,
Colors gleaming in the sun.
At other times, they wildly fly
Until they nearly reach the sky.
Twisting, turning through the air
Till all the trees stand stark and bare.
Exhausted, drop to earth below
To wait, like children, for the snow.

These are the are the Painting of John Atkinson Grimshaw.
I Love his Work! His use of Color is so Lovely  and Warm.
His Paintings here are from my

Good morning sweet Jill~

The paintings are exquisite, for they truly capture the essence of autumn. The fairly painting is my most favorite, for she looks positively lifelike.

The poem you posted is absolutely lovely ... a gossamer rendition of fall in the making. When reading the words, one feels as though they are standing in the midst of a swollen moment!
Thank you, for such a heartwarming post! :)

Wishing you a blissful autumn day, may the colors surround you and delight you!
