These are a Few of My Favorite Things!
I have Really Fallen in Love with
Hand Carved Mother of Pearl Buttons.
Last Weekend I went to a
Local Flea Market and Found
all of these Lovely Rhinestone Pieces.
I Love to Visit with the Vendors
to Find out the Back Ground
of my Purchases.
These Pieces came from a Woman Who Adored Jewelry!
Well What Woman Doesn't... But this Woman! Wow!
Her Dear Husband Loved Buying it for Her!
Her Collection was not only Extensive but Beautiful!
She Had Passed some Years ago
and her Dear Husband Couldn't Let Go of her Things.
He Passed Recently
and Now the Family was doing their
Best with taking Care of the Estate.
It was Nice to Visit with Them
and it Sounded Like their
Parents Adored Each Other!
I Just Love That.
The Junkin Gypsies

She Told Me that there is
Never Enough Time in this Store!
She was Right!
I did Find this Godey's Ladies Book!

Swoon sums it all up!!!
Corvallis . . .I've been there many MOONS ago! I used to live in Vancouver, WA and worked in Portland, Oregon. I came home b/c I missed the sun and warm weather . . shows you how long ago that was, ha ha ha, it's still snowing up the road from where I am now!

Wow, what a gorgeous lot you found, huh?. How sweet to have had the chance to speak with the vendor. The book is such a treasure too. Great illustrations. What is the book about?
Thanks for sharing your finds!
Lots of beautiful eye candy, Jill...and the book was a real find!
You did good! with those jewels from the Lady! I do understand about , want to know a little about where they come from, is so romantic!I got few from my Mother in law! is fun to see the old days thru a piece of jewelry!
Jill, I would have needed longer than 50 minutes too!
Love the buttons and all the jewelry and how you've displayed them on the paper with the beautiful calligraphy.

Good morning, Jill! What fabulous finds--love the jewelry--and lucky you finding a Godey's Ladies Book! I'd love to get my hands on one of those! I've long loved vintage mother-of-pearl buttons...so beautiful!
I'm still swooning over the beauties from the giveaway--I'll be posting about them in my next post (in a day or two). So much loveliness it's intoxicating!
Hope you're having a wonderful weekend, my friend!
