At 2 A.M. on Saturday morning, August 16, 2003, a bolt of lightning struck a tree near Squally Point in Okanagan Mountain Park. An extremely dry summer and plenty of fuel, coupled with high winds, quickly spread the fire into the city of Kelowna. 248 homes were destroyed, 30,000 people evacuated, and there was 100 million dollars of property destruction
It is amazing how Life just Carries on

Katelyn's Beautiful Mermaid!
We Spent Quite a Few Days at the Beach

and to give Grandpa a Rest.
He Put on 8 Pounds during our Visit
and Enjoyed Katelyn's Special Hamburgers very Much!

WOW, what BEAUTIFUL photos! I loved the mermaid, what a talented young lady! It always saddens my heart when fires strike ... the loss of wildlife, the devastation to private property is horrifying. It truly is amazing how life indeed does go on and how Mother Nature heals herself.
Continued best wishes to your family ... you all are in our thoughts and prayers. Sending the warmest of hugs your way! :)
It's just gorgeous. We are currently in Quebec. I love Canada.
Fondly,
Suz
