A While Back I Received a
Beautiful Antique French Document dating 1848
and some French Money Orders
with Wonderful Typography. Also these Gorgeous Stamps
They Came from a New Friend in France.
I can't Tell you how amazing it is to Hold
a Handwritten Document from 1848.
I thought it would be Fun to Look up
what was Happening in France during this time.
They were in the Midst of another Revolution
where Louis Napoleon Bonaparte
( Nephew of Napoleon)
was Elected the President of the Second Republic.
I Find this so Interesting!

What a wonderful gift, Jill! We really do have so much in common--makes me smile! I love nothing more than to hold history in my hands...everyday, household objects, hand-written documents...those things. I love researching them and their times, just as you described...keeps us connected to those in the past, doesn't it?
Thank-you for sharing these beauties, my friend...wishing you a lovely day!
