I Love Knowing That I am Holdinga Small Piece of the Past.
It wasn't until I got Older
that I started to
Appreciate History .
I some times Wish
I could take All of my
High School History Classes
Over Again
Because I Think Now
I would Actually Pay Attention!
Do you ever Wonder About
the History of an Item?
The Journey it made
to find its way t you?
I Wonder if in 1852
this Godey's Lady's Book
Was Read by an
Elegantly Dressed Lady
Sitting in Her Morning Room Sipping Tea.
I am Always Amazed
at the Beauty
and the Details
of some of these
Hand Carved
Pieces .
Hope you All have a Wonderful Weekend!
Thank You for Letting Me Share a
Few of my Favorite Things!

I see so many things now that my mother had that belonged to her mother and how easily we gave things away or donated to charity or threw in the garbage! And now, here we are, at this age and looking back we appreciate so much what items were worth -- not just in a monetary sense.
Those are some beautiful buttons. Lovely treasures!
Hi Jill! What a lovely post with all the olden things. I love looking at these.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Hello Jill and A Happy New Year to you too!
Yes I very often think about all these wonderful vintage and antique finds and, very often, the amount of work and dedication that went into their creations.
Aren't we lucky to be the new beholders of such beautiful finds like those buttons and that gorgeous book with enchanting images.
Enjoy as I know how much you appreciate them!
Sending hugs,
Suzy
